"Mistakes"

I had the privilege of hosting a really cool event during Cayamo called " A Sound Mind: Exploring the Mental Health Benefits of Music" and WOW! We did an INCREDIBLE thing.
​
At the workshop, I asked participants to tap into a memory in which they were treated with limitations and unfair expectations. As everyone poured out their experiences, we turned them into a powerful chorus!
​
"Like you never make mistakes..."
​
One hour wasn't enough to finish the entire song together, so I made it my homework to complete it by the time I had my set at Spinnaker Lounge.
​
The final product was jam packed with tension, emotion and truth.
​
THAT is what songwriting is all about!
